Terms
These terms and conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and Love Positive the supplier of the Service. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Who are Love Positive.
Love Positive is an online dating agency. We are not a marriage brokering service nor obligated to successfully broker any other members for you.
Membership
Love Positive two types of membership: free membership, and Premium membership. When you join, you join with a free membership account. Free membership is completely free of charge and gives you access to the vast majority of our services.
You may later on optionally upgrade to Premium membership, which is not free. Find out more about free and Premium membership.
Unacceptable
- memberships, messages or profiles from those under 18
- profiles or messages inviting purely sexual relationships
- profiles from married people looking for extra-marital affairs other than just friendship
- profiles or messages containing suggestive or sexual language
- profiles or messages containing references to illegal practices such as drug-taking
- profiles or messages containing offensive, potentially offensive, threatening or abusive remarks, or remarks which are in any way unfriendly, even if these are in response to unfriendly behaviour
- profiles or messages containing libellous or unlawful remarks
- profiles or messages containing dishonest statements, or attempting to portray the author as something they are not
- multiple messages containing the same or similar wording sent to many different members
- profiles containing pointers to external web sites or containing email addresses, phone numbers, ICQ numbers or similar
- profiles written in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS - it is very difficult to read, especially by those with less than perfect eyesight
- profiles containing an indication of your membership status such as "I am guest member" - other users find this very confusing
Profiles
We do not alter profiles which have been accepted for display. We make no absolutely no guarantee as to the integrity of the information contained in the profiles. If you do not feel comfortable about this fact you are advised in the strongest possible terms not to use our service. We may remove profiles at any time for any reason.
We may highlight your profile, including your photograph, on the home page or elsewhere in the site at any time.
Photographs
We reserve the right to crop and enhance photographs submitted to us, to ensure they are of the highest quality and compatible with our guidelines.
Messages
Messages sent through Love Positive may be scanned by us to check that the service is not being abused. If we find a message from you whom we consider an abuse of the service, we may suspend or delete your account.
If you find an offensive or worrying profile or message, please let us know. We reserve the right to determine what action is necessary.
We will automatically delete messages from the system after a pre-defined length of time. This is normally around 90 days but may be shorter or longer.
Suspension or removal from service
We reserve the right to suspend your account or remove your profile at any time if we become aware of a breach of these terms and conditions. No correspondence will be entered into in the event of this happening.
Upgrading your membership
Refunds and cancellations
If you choose to upgrade from a free membership account to a Premium member, we provide the service to you from the moment you purchase it. Because of this, we cannot offer a cancellation or "cooling off" period. This is in accordance with the UK Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.
We strive to provide a top quality service to you at all times, however we are unable to give refunds due to the risk of piracy and to services beyond our control.
In the event of your account being removed or suspended because you have broken the terms of this agreement you will be entitled to a pro-rata refund of your membership fees minus a £15 administration fee to cover the costs of conducting the investigation into your account.

Data protection
Your membership details and the content of any messages you send are private and are properly protected. However the information you give in your profile is deemed to be in the public domain. Therefore if you are not happy with your details being made public, do not post a profile on Love Positive. A full and complete statement of our handling of your data is given in our privacy and data protection statement.
Disclaimer
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Love Positive, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and third parties, from your use of the service, including any violation of these rules or any accusation that the information that you post infringes the intellectual property rights (such as copyright, trade secret, trademark, or patent) of any third party or that such information disparages, libels or invades the privacy of any third party.
Love Positive will supply this service at all times and carry out its obligations with reasonable skill and care as far as is technically practical. You recognize that it is technically impossible to supply an uninterrupted service at all times and that some short periods of unavailability will inevitably occur.
This Agreement is entered into in England and shall be governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, English law. The courts of England shall have jurisdiction to hear and determine any cost, action or proceedings, and to settle any disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these rules and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of such courts.
